Zach Arnett is an American football coach who is currently the linebackers coach and co-defensive coordinator for the Syracuse Orange. Prior to Syracuse, he held the same position at Mississippi State.
Early Career: Arnett began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at San Diego State.
San Diego State: He spent several years at San Diego State, eventually becoming the defensive coordinator. Under his leadership, the Aztecs' defense was consistently ranked among the nation's best.
Mississippi%20State: Arnett became the defensive coordinator at Mississippi State in 2020 under head coach Mike Leach. Following Leach's death in December 2022, Arnett was named the interim%20head%20coach and then was officially hired as the head coach. His tenure as head coach was short-lived, as he was fired before the end of his first season.
Coaching%20Philosophy: Known for aggressive and attacking defensive schemes.
Syracuse%20Orange: He joined the Syracuse Orange coaching staff in 2024.
